Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry is seeking an experience Bookkeeper to join their team based in Pinetown
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Matric with Maths and Accounting (Preferable)
- BCom Accounting Undergraduate Degree or Equivalent
- 2 to 3 Years Experience within a similar role
- Microsoft Office – Basic Level
- Microsoft Excel - Intermediary Level
- Knowledge and Experience with Accounting Systems, Sage 300 would be advantageous
MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS
- BANK RECONCILIATION: Capture sundry receipts and payments. Follow up with outstanding receipts and payments processing on a weekly basis and monthly bank reconciliation.
- FIXED ASSETS: Maintenance of the company’s fixed assets, accurate processing, monthly checks and reconciliation.
- FOREIGN RECEIPTS AND PAYMENTS: Liaise with relevant staff regarding supporting documentation to load and process foreign receipts and payments.
- GENERAL LEDGER MAINTENANCE: Prepare and process monthly standard as well as ad-hoc journals accurately and timeously.
- FINANCIAL REPORTING: Preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliation with supporting documentation. Follow up on reconciling items, communication with various team members to ensure timeous query resolution.
- VAT201 RECONCILATION: Prepare VAT reconciliation, with supporting documents, cross checks to be performed to ensure accuracy for manager’s review. Submission to SARS and preparation of documents required for VAT audits.
- MONTH-END RECONCILIATIONS: Accounts receivable and accounts payable monthly reporting and reconciliation from control accounts to general ledger.
- GENERAL ADMINISTRATION/RECONCILATION: Bank, Supplier and Customer, Credit Cards, Fuel Cards.
- AUDITS (FINANCIAL AND BEE): Support finance manager by supervision of audits, liaising with audit teams to manage sample requests and description of processes.
