Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification
- A minimum of 5+ years of related procurement experience including purchasing, and/or planning
- Work experience in a Petroleum/Production environment beneficial
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to multitask and deadline driven
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Plan and purchase local stock using in-house systems (HEAT & Odoo)
- Forecasting likely levels of demand for related stock
- Ensure purchase oder system parameters are maintained by monitoring minimum, maximum, safety and current inventory levels; making recommendations to management for adjustments to levels
- Process requisitions and place orders with suppliers based on all areas of procurement on business needs with extra focus on HVAC/Refrigeration
- Process and generate orders as required and maintain supporting documentation
- Ensure the receipting of stock by stores
- Ensure that required costings are received from suppliers, check pricing and lead times and obtain the necessary approvals
- Follow up on all purchase order's status
- Keep the purchase order system updated with any supplier pricing and/or lead time changes
- Sourcing new suppliers, negotiate pricing and payment terms
