Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
- Minimum Grade 12 certificate
- Valid “Code 8 or B or EB Unendorsed drivers license
- Must have at least 5 years driving experience
- Should Ideally reside in Tshikota/Louis Trichardt [Makhado] town/Tshikuwi/Ntjelele cross
- Good written and verbal English communication skills plus one other language
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- Good judgment and problem solving skills
- Suitable candidates will undergo a prerequisite driver’s test
- Able to work shifts
- Certificate of medical fitness
Responsibilities
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Follow all Company Policies and Procedures i.e. Shift Procedure
- Patrolling designated section of N1 North Route
- Removing of objects which may threaten the safety of road users
- Assisting road users in case of breakdowns with petrol, water and changing tyres etc.
- Responding to accidents and providing first aid where necessary
- Performing scene safety and a pre-warning to secure accident/incidents
- Maintain cleanliness and care of vehicle/s, tools and all equipment
- Record and report all damages, shortages and incidents to the call centre
