Job Summary
Hire Resolve's client, a solar energy company, is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee and manage their day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, with proven experience in improving efficiency, reducing costs, and implementing process improvements.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Management & Technical Support
- Provide technical insights during the project development phase, including quoting and site assessments.
- Oversee installation processes, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to meet project specifications.
2. Stock, Equipment, and Logistics Management
- Ensure availability and allocation of materials, tools, and PPE for each project.
- Manage inventory records and oversee procurement processes.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams for on-time material delivery.
3. Health, Safety, & Quality Control
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, PPE use, and site safety protocols.
- Work with the Health and Safety Officer to maintain updated safety files.
- Conduct post-installation inspections to uphold quality standards.
4. Team Leadership & Administration
- Lead, manage, and evaluate internal and external installation teams.
- Approve leave, overtime, and manage team schedules.
- Resolve team grievances in collaboration with HR.
- Organize stocktakes and maintain tool inventories.
5. Client Engagement & Budget Management
- Act as the main point of contact for clients during project installations.
- Resolve client issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Manage budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
6. Training & Development
- Develop training programs to enhance team skills.
- Stay updated on industry trends and solar technology advancements.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in operations management (preferably in solar, renewable energy, or electrical industries).
- Proven track record in managing residential, commercial, and agricultural solar installations.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems and tools (e.g., torque wrenches, drill bits).
- Familiarity with inventory management and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
