Job Description:
Our client is seeking an energetic and reliable Call Centre Agent to join their team in Johannesburg on a 4-month contract. As a Call Centre Agent, you will be the first point of contact for customers, assisting with inquiries, providing solutions, and ensuring a positive customer experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a customer-centric attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming customer calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and requests with prompt and effective solutions.
- Provide accurate information regarding products, services, and policies.
- Record and update customer interactions and details in the company’s CRM system.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate department or supervisor.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through active listening and empathy.
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets (e.g., call volume, resolution time, customer satisfaction).
- Maintain product and service knowledge to effectively support customer needs.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve overall team goals and deliver high-quality service.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Minimum of a high school diploma. A tertiary qualification is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in a customer service or call centre environment is an advantage.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in English. Additional African languages are a bonus.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using call centre software and CRM systems.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess and resolve customer issues effectively and efficiently.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong listening skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Work Ethic: Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Requirements:
- Must be an African male (to align with the company's diversity and inclusion goals).
- Must be based in Johannesburg, South Africa, and able to commute to the office.
- Ability to start immediately.
