Job Summary
FUNCTIONS
The candidate will be required to perform the following functions;
- Advising company executives and the board of directors
- Advising of acquisitions and disposals
- Handling due diligence and corporate investigations
- Drafting review, interpretation and vetting of contracts
- Negotiation of contracts
- Drafting legal opinions or memorandum of advice
- Providing company secretariat support to businesses
- Providing regulatory advice to businesses
- Corporate law and general business advisory
- Handling and advising on business financing or capital raising transactions
- Factual and legal input on corporate disputes handled by the litigation department
- Banking and Finance work
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- Exceptional ability as a business lawyer
- Competent in drafting contracts
- Strong negotiation ability
- Resilient, able to work well under pressure and hardworking
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- LLB Degree
- Must be an Admitted Attorney
- 3 - 4 years minimum proven experience in a business law practice environment
- Studying towards or with a Master's in either Commercial Law, Corporate Law, Business Law, and Company Law.
