- Legal and or related 3-year qualification
- Valid driver’s licence (plus own transport advantageous)
- Must be fluent in English (able to speak, read and write competently)
- Fluency in isiXhosa would be advantageous
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to receive and execute instructions from the professional staff
- Strong organisational skills
- Attention to detail and a team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 3 years’ + previous working experience in a legal environment
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Collection and management of organisational data.
- To draw documents and pleadings and manage the litigation process under the guidance of the Attorneys and Candidate Attorneys.
Performance Areas
- Communicating with clients and gathering the necessary documents and information to start building a case
- Drafting, proofreading and filing or sending legal documents
- Managing administrative responsibilities such as calendar and email management
- Filing and maintaining electronic documents and records
- Keeping clients informed by maintaining contact and communicating case progress
- Submitting records and documents to respective courthouses
- Other tasks as determined by the client.
