Job Summary
This role is integral to navigating the complexities of the property and development sector, combining legal expertise with hands-on involvement in municipal processes, rezoning, and property management. You will lead in managing legal aspects across arrears collection, lease agreements, property transfers, tenant management, and compliance with municipal regulations. Whether it’s drafting development agreements, resolving disputes, or ensuring the smooth transfer of properties, your legal acumen will be essential in mitigating risks and driving business success.
We’re seeking an admitted attorney with 3–5 years of post-admission experience, ideally within the property or construction sectors. A Conveyancer qualification is advantageous. Candidates with experience in municipal processes such as rezoning, Section 82 approvals, and building plans will bring added value to the role. We value diversity and are especially interested in candidates who can speak multiple South African languages, fostering strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Your key strengths should include exceptional drafting and negotiation skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive, solutions-driven approach to problem-solving.
