Job Summary:
The Sport Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation and management of all sports and recreational activities at the facility. This role includes supervising sport programs, ensuring guests and participants have a safe and enjoyable experience, coordinating staff, maintaining equipment, and implementing sports-related events. The Sport Supervisor ensures all activities meet the highest standards of quality and safety, promoting a fun and engaging environment for both guests and team members.
Key Responsibilities:1. Team Management & Supervision
- Team Supervision: Lead, train, and manage sports staff, ensuring that they are properly trained in safety protocols and guest service.
- Staff Scheduling: Organize shift schedules for sports staff, ensuring proper coverage for activities.
- Performance Monitoring: Evaluate the performance of the sports team, providing feedback and ensuring continuous improvement.
- Training & Development: Provide ongoing training for the team on equipment use, safety standards, and sports-specific techniques.
2. Program Coordination & Planning
- Sports Activities: Plan, organize, and supervise a variety of recreational and competitive sports programs, including pool activities, tennis, golf, fitness classes, and more.
- Event Management: Organize and coordinate sports tournaments, competitions, and special events for guests, ensuring smooth execution and guest satisfaction.
- Guest Interaction: Engage with guests to promote sports programs, assist in booking activities, and ensure a positive experience.
3. Safety & Equipment Management
- Safety Protocols: Implement and enforce all safety guidelines and procedures for sports activities, ensuring a secure environment for participants.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all sports equipment is in excellent working condition, properly stored, and regularly inspected for safety.
- Emergency Preparedness: Be prepared to manage any emergencies, whether injuries or accidents, and coordinate with medical staff as needed.
4. Administrative Duties
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of sports activity bookings, staff schedules, and incident reports.
- Inventory Control: Oversee sports equipment inventory, ensuring that all necessary materials are available and replenished.
- Budget Management: Assist with budget planning for sports activities and ensure cost control measures are adhered to.
5. Guest Service & Engagement
- Customer Experience: Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and that they have a memorable and enjoyable sports experience.
- Guest Safety: Ensure that all guests participating in sports activities follow safety procedures and have a safe environment to play.
- Feedback Collection: Gather guest feedback on sports programs and services to continuously improve the offerings.
Qualifications and Skills:Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Recreation, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sports or recreational management, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of various sports, fitness programs, and recreational activities.
- First Aid and CPR certification (advanced certifications preferred).
- Knowledge of health and safety standards related to sports and recreational activities.
