Our Client seeking an experienced Process Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in the mining, chemical, or industrial manufacturing sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and implementing processes that improve the efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability of production operations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the optimization of high-performance processes at a leading company in the mining and manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Design & Development: Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing and mining processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Process Monitoring & Analysis: Continuously monitor and analyze process performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve operational issues, ensuring the smooth operation of critical systems and processes.
- Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, operations, and maintenance staff, to ensure process optimization and problem resolution.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all processes comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, minimizing risks and maximizing production output.
- Project Management: Lead and participate in process improvement projects, coordinating with teams to ensure timely and effective execution.
- Cost Optimization: Identify cost-effective solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and safety in process operations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience as a Process Engineer within the mining, chemical, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in process design, optimization, and troubleshooting. Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex operational issues and improve process efficiency.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of process engineering standards, health and safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills for liaising with cross-functional teams and reporting on process performance.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, making sound decisions and prioritizing tasks effectively.
Education:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or additional certifications in Process Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
