My client is a leading company in the renewable energy sector, they are currently seeking a dedicated Solar PV Project Engineer to join their team and support the Engineering Manager with all engineering-related matters. Job Description:
They are looking for a highly motivated Solar PV Project Engineer to join their team. If you have the ability to work across numerous disciplines and multiple projects in parallel, this role could be perfect for you!
Key Requirements:

Education: A B.Eng or BSc.Eng in Electrical Engineering is essential. You must be eligible to register with the Engineering Council of South Africa, or be already registered

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of project engineering experience, with previous experience in solar PV projects.

Knowledge: Good understanding of relevant codes, policies, best practices, and standards.
Responsibilities:

Support the Engineering Manager with renewable energy system designs.

Create budgets for proposed new projects.

Assist in developing design tools for the engineering department.

Provide support with engineering-related operations and maintenance issues.

Create precise drawings for information and construction purposes.

Conduct site inspections to design and cost new projects accurately.

Measure and create bills of quantities for installations.

Simulate system performances and productions accurately.

Develop as-built drawings.
Skills:
-
Excellent attention to detail.

Outstanding time management, leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Proficient in IT with thorough knowledge of design and visualization software.

Ability to work with numerous disciplines of projects.

Ability to work within budgets and adhere to deadlines.

Strong oral and written communication skills.
