Essential Skills Requirements: Proficiency in Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket/GitHub Expertise in storage technologies and state-of-the-art solutions Strong knowledge of Unix, Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu), and Windows Experience with mounting technologies (Autofs and DFS) Familiarity with NFS and CIFS protocols Understanding of the Agile Working Model framework Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare Horizon, ESXi, and Cloud Foundation Ability to take on additional responsibilities as outlined in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter Advantageous Skills Requirements: Experience in migrating complex VDI environments Proficiency with LINUX Redhat/Ubuntu operating systems in a virtualized environment Familiarity with storage technologies such as emc2 and NetApp Knowledge of Systems Management tools like scVENUS and Ansible Experience with Ansible Tower, playbook design, and deployment Understanding of Public Cloud platforms like Azure and AWS Knowledge of Private Cloud solutions Familiarity with Directory Access Manager (DIVA) Experience with Intelligent Storage Orchestration Environment (iStore) and Active Directory Gruppentool (ADGR) Basic knowledge of Active Directory/LDAP Strong professional communication and documentation skills Basic understanding of ITIL and ITSM processes (Problem, Incident, Change) Knowledge of ITSM Suite and Scrum methodology Proficiency in programming languages such as Bash and Perl Qualifications/Experience Required: Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience ITIL certification (advantageous) Scrum certification (advantageous) Scrum Master certification Storage vendor certification Operating system certification relating to data management Programming certification Web application programming certification Minimum of 4 years of IT operations experience, including ITIL Minimum of 4 years of storage experience Minimum of 4 years of Scrum work experience Minimum of 4 years of VDI and operating systems experience Responsibilities: Understand complex application architecture/dependencies and their impact on a VDI environment Design VDI solutions to support business requirements based on guidelines Design Ansible playbooks for CA-Application performance (VDI deployment / Public- and Private Cloud) Responsible for VDI deployment and CA Data Management / "Follow the Data" approach Drive VDI automation topics (deployment, resource management, asset management) Define specific engineering roles for VDIs to match exact application needs and support the partner onboarding process Consult on global engineering (ItO) resource demands and design optimal VDI solutions Drive CA VDI cloud strategy towards a "state of the art" architectural design Perform housekeeping, monitoring, and managing of the VDI platforms focusing on stability, performance, and cost optimization Define self-service requests in ServiceNow portals for VDI demands (e.g., resizing, additional VDI, platform switch) Report and forecast overall CA VDI demands (user requirements, platforms) Support and consult application owners on cloud migration requests focusing on VDIs Manage Problem, Incident, and Change processes for dedicated ITSM services Willingness to work on weekends (as required) Operate and maintain scripts (e.g., deletion) Keep documentation up to date in relevant systems (e.g., CMDB, Application Instance Wizard, Connect IT, knowledge database resolveIT) Attend and moderate operation meetings Coordinate external contractors Manage security vulnerabilities
