Job Summary
A leading company in the chemical & manufacturing industry is looking for a highly skilled Occupational Health Manager to lead its occupational health programs and drive compliance with health & safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health Nursing or related field
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) & SASOHN
- Qualified in Spirometry, Audiometry, and Occupational Vision Screening
- Legal Dispensing Certificate (in line with Medicines Act 101 of 1965)
- Strong understanding of OHSA, COIDA, SANS 10083, & Pharmacy Act
- Experience in incident investigations, risk assessments, and compliance auditing
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- 5+ years’ experience in Occupational Health within a chemical/manufacturing industry
- 3+ years in incapacity management & disability case handling

- Incident & Emergency Response – Managing medical crises, injury management & health risks
- Medical Surveillance & Data Analysis – Tracking employee health trends for risk mitigation
- Workforce Rehabilitation & Fitness for Duty Assessments – Supporting employees returning to work
- Budget & Resource Management – Managing medical center budgets, contracts, & stock control
- Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration – Engaging with HR, SHERQ, regulatory bodies, and external medical professionals
