A trusted and well established client of ours in The Middle East is seeking an experienced Chief District Manager to undertake major construction projects within the Oil and Gas and Civil Engineering sector. This is a leading management role, reporting to board level with opportunity of growth to director level.
The Chief District Manager will work with the area Construction Manager/ and Subcontractors Scaffolding teams to insure the following:
- Responsible for managing all scaffolding personnel (internal and external).
- Yard operations and 360 Scaffolding Solutions from Instruction to Decommissioning.
- P&L and Budgets.
- Logistics and of materials staff and vehicles.
- Ensuring appropriate levels of contracts, staff and materials and adherence to budgets.
- Client Management.
- Demand Planning.
- Programme Management.
Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal and management skills and clear ability to take responsibility and leadership.
- Ability in maintaining good working relationships with clients, surveyors and project management.
- Strong interpersonal skills to enhance the motivation and compliance of the workforce managing appraisals, tool box talks and ensuring risk and method statements are complied with.
- Logistical management skills utilising the transport and supply of materials and staff in the most efficient manner.
- Able to produce clear management reports and KPI’s in a manner that can be understood by all to enhance the productivity of the business.
- A clear understanding of estimating and costs in relation to scaffolding, managing SLA's and P&L
- Excellent Analytical and problem solving skills to ensure an ongoing pipeline of profitable work, labour and materials.
- Understanding of contract documentation. Meeting with clients throughout the contracts to ensure that they are set up & run in compliance with the contract.
- A high regard for Health, Safety and Compliance. Reviewing and implementation of processes and procedures required for the safety of employees and the company whilst developing a positive culture towards health and safety.
- A mentoring and respectful attitude towards staff with the ability to empower and encourage growth in knowledge, capabilities and professionalism of the team.
Benefits.
- Minimum of 5 years Management Experience specialising in Scaffolding.
- Work/Project Experience in The Middle East is mandatory.
