A trusted and well established client of ours in The Middle East is seeking an experienced Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Overview:As the Chief Information Officer (CIO), you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the management and development of the hospital's information technology systems. You will lead a team responsible for applications and infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of critical healthcare systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP and Bespoke Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), along with experience in billing systems and integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the hospital's objectives to enhance operational efficiency and patient care.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of applications and infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and telecommunications systems.
- Lead the IT team in executing projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify IT requirements and propose innovative solutions to meet organizational needs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing healthcare IT systems.
- Provide leadership and guidance on cybersecurity measures to safeguard sensitive patient data and maintain system integrity.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to recommend investments that will drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence within the IT department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a CIO or similar leadership role in a healthcare setting, preferably within a private hospital environment.
- Expertise in SAP and Bespoke Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with a track record of successful implementations and system integrations.
- In-depth knowledge of billing systems and experience in integrating them with other healthcare IT systems.
- Strong understanding of healthcare IT regulations and standards, such as HIPAA and HL7.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into IT solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team building, coaching, and performance management.
