Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic Senior Network Security Architect with a proven track record of designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure IT infrastructures. Adept at designing and ensuring that the systems used by the business are available and secure by delivering and executing against Group-wide network and information security processes, procedures, and standards against prescribed practices, ensuring strategic alignment and delivery across the organization. What youâ€ll do: Assist in the technical design, architecture and implementation of the short and long-term strategic plans to ensure that the Meridian Group requirements are met from a capacity perspective Interface with peers in the Systems and Network business units as well as with the leaders of the business units to both share the corporate security vision Evaluate, manage, and maintain all network-related products, services, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance, security, and alignment with evolving technology standards. Oversee and optimize the performance of all network-related services and hardware to ensure seamless connectivity, reliability, and security across the organisation. Ensure patch management is performed on all network related equipment in order to reduce security vulnerabilities and operational effectiveness Perform trend analysis based on data acquired from monitoring software and address potential problems. Develop and continuously update a comprehensive security architecture that integrates all security components, technologies, and protocols across the organisation. Assist in the selection of security solution and or enhancements to existing security solutions Oversee and participate in the deployment, integration, configuration and maintenance of all security solutions in accordance with industry best practices, operating standards, processes, standards and policies. Support the design and development of the Meridian systems architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives, scalability, and integration with existing infrastructure. Establish baselines to ensure that the best service can be delivered to the business which is stable, agile and reduce the current risk profile. Plan, direct, and coordinate the design, installation, and connectivity of computer and network systems to ensure the stable operation of the organisation IT assets. Develop, configure, maintain, support, and optimize all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links Maintain relevant documentation, designs and architecture of all network related devices and deployment Oversee the effective operation of all group security solutions, including monitoring, maintenance, and enhancement of security protocols across the organisation. Establish sustained stability and create flexibility in network technologies that meets the strategic growth of the Meridian Group. Accelerate the enhancement of the organization's security posture and maturity by identifying vulnerabilities, implementing advanced security measures, and ensuring continuous compliance with industry standards. Develop and enforce an enterprise-wide security stance by creating comprehensive policies, designing a resilient security architecture, and implementing training programs for all employees. Develop, implement, and continuously update security policies, standards, and processes to ensure alignment with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and organisational security goals. Regularly review, update, and test the Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Incident Response plans to ensure organisational readiness and minimize downtime during disruptions. Ensure the consistent enforcement of security standards and policies across the Meridian Group by monitoring compliance, conducting audits, and implementing corrective actions as needed. Review and prioritize vulnerability assessment findings, ensuring that identified risks are promptly addressed through mitigation actions and follow-up monitoring. Ensure that security events are dealt with in accordance with the set operating model as set forth for the security function in Meridian Assist in the successful design and execution of all vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits. Support the execution of Business Continuity Plans (BCP), Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP), and Incident Response procedures by coordinating resources, ensuring effective communication, and facilitating timely recovery actions. Implement and oversee IT security governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organisational security policies. Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate security solutions, while overseeing vulnerability audits and assessments to ensure comprehensive protection and the identification of potential risks. Offer mentorship and guidance to junior team members by providing training, sharing expertise, and ensuring they understand and apply security best practices and organisational policies. Manage and negotiate with vendors, outsourced partners and contractors to secure network products and services. Negotiate and manage various vendors, outsourced partners and contracts in order to provide Meridian the best possible service. Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data residing on or transmitted to/from/through enterprise workstations, servers and other systems and in databases and other data repositories. Responsible for the entire Meridian Group WAN, LAN, WiFi, and datacentre networking estate. Your expertise: 10 - 15 years†experience in a specific capability of importance, including a track record of 10 years in a specialist capacity in Network Security.
