Job Summary
Our client is looking for a motivated and results-driven New and Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Executive to join their motor dealership in the Johannesburg North area. This role will require you to manage both new and pre-owned vehicle sales, assisting customers with finding the perfect vehicle for their needs while meeting and exceeding sales targets. You’ll work closely with customers from initial inquiry to final sale, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement & Sales: Greet and engage customers, assessing their needs, preferences, and budget to recommend suitable new and pre-owned vehicles.
- Product Knowledge: Provide detailed information about new and pre-owned vehicles, including features, specifications, benefits, and financing options.
- Test Drives: Schedule and conduct test drives for customers, offering a hands-on experience to showcase vehicle features.
- Sales Process Management: Guide customers through the sales process, including negotiations, trade-in appraisals, financing, and finalizing paperwork.
- Meeting Sales Targets: Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for both new and pre-owned vehicles, contributing to the overall dealership goals.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong customer relationships, following up post-sale to ensure satisfaction and encourage referrals.
- Sales and Lead Generation: Actively prospect for new customers and generate leads through various channels, including social media, cold calling, and referrals.
- Vehicle Appraisal & Pricing: Appraise trade-ins accurately and fairly, providing competitive pricing for pre-owned vehicles.
- Market Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and competitor activities to effectively present vehicles and close sales.
- Inventory Management: Work closely with the dealership’s inventory team to ensure the availability of vehicles and manage stock levels for both new and pre-owned vehicles.
- Sales Documentation: Accurately complete all sales documentation, ensuring that contracts, registration, and financing are processed correctly.
- Collaboration: Work with finance, service, and management teams to ensure smooth and efficient transactions and customer satisfaction.
- Customer Service: Address customer concerns, handle complaints, and ensure that customers receive the best possible service during and after the sale.
Key Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Sales Executive, specifically in selling both new and pre-owned vehicles.
- Must have worked at a motor dealership.
- Strong understanding of the automotive industry and knowledge of vehicle models, features, and market trends.
- Demonstrated sales skills and ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build rapport with customers and close sales effectively.
- Customer service-focused with a positive and professional attitude.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, dealership software, and Microsoft Office.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
