Hiring: Intermediate Darabase Administrator
About: In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in maintaining and optimizing the performance, integrity, and security of their database systems.
Responsibilities:
Installing, configuring, and maintaining database systems.
Monitoring performance, implementing changes, and applying patches.
Optimizing performance and managing queries for efficiency.
Collaborating with development teams to design and deploy scalable solutions.
Developing disaster recovery and data archiving strategies.
Managing storage, capacity planning, and growth.
Providing user support and guidance on database access.
Automating deployment and configuration tasks with PowerShell or other tools.
Assisting junior team members and staying on top of industry trends.
Performing data analysis and generating insightful reports.
What We’re Looking For:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in deploying and managing database systems.
Strong SQL programming and performance tuning skills.
Familiarity with Linux is a plus, though not required.
Experience with database security, backup, and recovery.
Proficiency in automation tools (PowerShell or similar).
Solid problem-solving abilities and team collaboration skills.
Great communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in a regulated or financial industry is a bonus.
