About Us
Our mission is to end work as we know it. Humans should work because they want to, in roles they love—not because they have to, in roles that are dull, disliked, and impede their growth. Our product, Some1, is the first fully configurable AI white-collar worker that integrates into real-world teams and workflows.
We are creating a world where:
- Companies will be spun up in hours rather than years
- Scale ups or scale downs will happen in seconds
- The 99% fail rate of businesses will be a thing of the past
Team:
We always aim at being no more than 20 employees company wide. This keeps our teams owners of their projects, spectacularly agile and middle-management free. As an added benefit, there is not a single person in the team that is ever out of the loop and you are one call away from the CEO
Location:
We are a UK/US company but our team has a fully flexible, work-from-anywhere policy. Forever. With reasonably flexible hours included. As long as you are reachable you can literally be on a beach or in the mountains for all we care.
What we are looking for:
We are keen to hire engineers that thrive when given the autonomy and a clear vision of where we want to go, they would like to figure things out from scratch. We mean it, we experiment a lot with new stacks, new tools, neural nets and even decentralised technology. Being in the position of not knowing exactly how to execute on a brief should make you happy as it will often be the case.
What you will be doing:
- Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs following best practices.
- Deploy, manage, and optimise applications on AWS infrastructure.
- Work with Amazon EC2, S3, VPC, CloudFront, and other AWS services.
- Utilise vector databases (e.g. Pinecone) and ensure efficient data handling.
- Implement and manage RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) processes.
- Deploy machine learning models on AWS EC2 instances.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Ensure code quality through version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Write and maintain documentation for backend processes and systems.
