Job Summary
Role Overview:
The Internal Audit Manager will oversee and manage all internal auditing activities to ensure operational efficiency, compliance with regulations, and the safeguarding of company assets. This role involves developing and executing audit plans, evaluating financial and operational risks, and providing recommendations to improve internal processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage the company’s internal audit strategy and annual audit plan.
- Conduct audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with policies, and adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Identify areas of risk and recommend practical solutions to mitigate those risks.
- Prepare and present clear, comprehensive audit reports to senior management and the audit committee.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Stay informed about changes in industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the internal audit team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CA(SA), or CISA are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of auditing experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of auditing principles, risk assessment, and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO, COBIT).
- Proficiency in audit software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
