Job Summary
Our client in George is seeking a skilled IT Technician to join their dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain network systems, and ensure smooth and secure daily operations.
Key responsibilities
- Install and configure network cables, routers, switches, and other IT infrastructure components.
- Set-up and troubleshoot WiFi networks, ensuring optimal coverage and performance
- Install, configure and maintain desktop computers, laptops, and devices
- Conduct on-site diagnostics to identify and resolve hardware and software issues
- Assist with server installations and maintenance when required
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients and end users
- Document all work completed, including configurations and troubleshooting steps
- Ensure all installations and maintenance comply with company standards and client requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of network systems, cabling, and wifi setup
- Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting hardware and software
- Familiarity with various operating systems, including Windows and macOS
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Valid drivers license, own transport and willingness to travel to client sites
- Matric/Grade 12
- Relevant certifications (A+/N+) are advantageous
