Job Summary
Hire Resolve's client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Moodle Administrator to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and customization of our Moodle platform to support the educational needs of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Moodle Platform Management: Administer, configure, and maintain the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- User Administration: Create and manage user roles, permissions, and enrollments for students, instructors, and staff.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support for users by troubleshooting issues related to the Moodle platform and resolving them promptly.
- Security & Backups: Implement security measures, conduct regular backups, and ensure the platform is up-to-date with the latest patches and updates.
- Course Management: Assist in creating, configuring, and managing courses, including integration of multimedia, assessments, and interactive content.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate reports on user activity, course participation, and overall system usage to guide improvements and decision-making.
- System Optimization: Monitor system performance, optimize speed, and resolve issues that may affect the end-user experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with faculty, IT teams, and other departments to ensure Moodle meets the institution’s educational and administrative requirements.
- Integration: Ensure smooth integration of Moodle with other institutional systems (e.g., authentication, gradebooks, student information systems).
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience:
- Proven experience in Moodle administration or managing Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Familiarity with web technologies such as PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving platform and server-related issues.
- Knowledge of server administration (Linux-based systems preferred).
- Experience working in an educational or e-learning environment is an advantage.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Moodle Administrator Certification) are a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of Moodle core functionality, plugins, themes, and course management.
- Proficiency in integrating Moodle with third-party applications and services.
- Ability to perform system monitoring, backups, and security patching.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing issues.
- Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
