Job Summary
Wage Administrator
Seeking a Wage Administrator for a footwear company based in Elsies River. Reporting into the Payroll Officer, the main purpose of this job is to ensure the accurate and timely completion of wage preparation.
Duties include the following, but not limited to:
Payroll Prep
- Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of weekly wage prep, to be processed by the payroll officer.
- Processing of sick and chronic notes: collecting; verifying and capturing notes.
- Generate and check weekly time sheets/clocking reports, ensuring that hours are accurately reflected to allow for efficient processing.
- Assist with queries as needed.
Time and Attendance
- Daily monitoring and correcting of clocking for all employees on time and attendance system (Eco Time).
- On boarding and termination of employees, this includes loading employees on the system as well as biometric scanners.
- Assist employees with scanning related issues.
- Generate and analyse monthly time sheets/clocking reports focusing on leave submissions, overtime, and identifying time keeping and absenteeism trends.
- Generate time keeping reports as and when needed.
Administration duties
- Completion and submission of on boarding and termination documents relating to provident fund and sick fund.
- Assist employees with provident fund and sick fund queries and forms as and when needed.
- Accurate and timely record keeping.
- Assist with various other HR related and admin tasks, including switchboard
Requirements:
- Relevant HR qualification
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in wage administration within a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of Bargaining Council agreements that regulate the relevant manufacturing industry – Footwear
- NBCLI would be advantageous.
- A minimum of 1 year working experience on Sage 300 PEOPLE is essential.
- In-depth understanding of payroll procedures, laws (BCEA, LRA), taxes, and best practices.
- Proficient in MS Office and intermediate Excel skills.
- Able to prioritize and manage time efficiently; precise attention to detail.
- Must be structured, meticulous, highly organised and deadline driven.
- Able to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, versed in both English and Afrikaans
Salary: R13 000 TCTC
