Job Summary
The alternative candidate we’re interested in searching the market for is a Senior Manager of Data Operations to lead our data strategy, optimize contact sourcing, and manage our data team within a B2B outbound sales environment. This role will oversee data processes, enhance campaign efficiency, and ensure our sales team has access to accurate, high-quality leads. Key responsibilities include managing the data team and Salesforce Operations Manager, setting, and tracking data KPIs, optimizing data sourcing, and providing insightful reports on campaign performance and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in data management and team leadership, ideally within a contact center or outbound sales environment, with proficiency in Salesforce and Excel. Strong project and people management, process improvement, and analytical skills are essential, along with experience in B2B data enrichment tools and the ability to communicate data insights to non-technical stakeholders. This is a critical role to support our growth, increase operational efficiency, and drive data-driven decision-making across the business.”
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of long-term data strategies.
- Overseeing and managing the data team & salesforce manager to ensure clear priorities and direction.
- Development and implementation of KPIs for the data side of the business.
- Developing and implementing strategic data processes, including methods of sourcing data for contact lists that aligns with campaign goals.
- Liaising with account managers to ensure campaigns go live smoothly and efficiently.
- Problem solving regarding contact rate across data sets.
- Setting up and managing data for campaigns in Salesforce, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Providing regular data insights and reporting on campaign performance, cost-effectiveness, and areas for improvement.
- Reporting into the new COO to provide updates on project management.
- Staying up to date with new data applications or trends to ensure the business is utilizing the best data tools for our needs.
- Oversee data governance.
This could also later evolve to manage QA; however, I think best to walk before we run and see how they go with data team first.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in Salesforce & Excel is essential
- Proficiency in B2B Sales Intelligence Platforms or Contact Data Enrichment Tools would be beneficial.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring data teams, setting goals, and managing performance.
- Strong project management skills to oversee data initiatives from start to finish, including scoping, planning, execution, and evaluation.
- Ability to analyze and refine data processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in data handling and reporting
- Ability to analyze complex data sets, draw meaningful insights, and translate them into actionable recommendations for the business.
- A proactive approach to identifying data-related issues and resolving them quickly and effectively.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights and processes to non-technical stakeholders, such as contact center agents and managers.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, prioritize requests, and ensure data solutions meet business goals.”
