Business Analyst – Cape Town (On-Site/Hybrid)

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a dynamic software development team specialising in International Supply Chain solutions. This role involves working closely with developers, clients, and project teams to analyse, design, and implement cutting-edge supply chain applications.

Role Overview

As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in gathering and documenting business requirements, designing innovative solutions, and ensuring successful project delivery. You will collaborate with stakeholders to optimise supply chain processes and support the implementation of ERP, warehousing, and logistics applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse client requirements and develop effective and innovative solutions.
• Facilitate JAD (Joint Application Development) sessions and requirements workshops with clients.
• Clearly document business and functional requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement International Supply Chain applications.
• Work on projects related to supply chain, logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, ERP, and warehousing applications.
• Ensure solutions align with best practices and industry standards.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and dependencies in an agile environment.
• Provide support and guidance to clients throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3-5 years’ experience in implementing and/or developing IT applications within medium to large companies.
• Experience working as a Business Analyst in the Supply Chain, Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Shipping, or ERP/Warehousing sectors.
• Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into system requirements.
• A tertiary qualification (National Diploma, Degree, or equivalent) in Business Analysis or a related field.
• Experience with International Supply Chain (Import & Export) operations.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of MS SQL and Transact-SQL.
• Experience in application integration (APIs, web services, etc.).
• Familiarity with Customs (SARS or international customs authorities).
• Understanding of structured delivery environments and best practices in software development.
