Legal Advisor: Client Agreements – Banking Sector
Are you a seasoned Legal Advisor with expertise in contract law and financial regulations? Our client, a leading financial institution in the agricultural sector, is seeking a skilled Client Agreements Legal Advisor to join their team in Bloemfontein.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and review legal agreements, contracts, and SLAs to ensure compliance
- Provide legal opinions, risk assessments, and compliance oversight
- Monitor and assess legislative changes, providing guidance to internal stakeholders
- Conduct due diligence investigations and legal research
- Manage external legal service providers, including attorneys and advocates
- Develop and review company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
- LLB Degree or equivalent
- Admitted Attorney (served articles) or Advocate (served pupillage)
- 3 – 5 years post-admission experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of Companies Act, National Credit Act, Consumer Protection Act, and other financial regulations
- Expertise in contract drafting, compliance, and legal advisory
