Qualification
- Tertiary qualification in a related Engineering field e.g. Mechanical / Metallurgical / Chemical
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years’ in product and business development management - pumps, and with 3 years of senior management experience
- Strong networks in the mining and minerals processing industry
- Computer literate on MS Office
Duties
- Collaboration with the senior leadership team to develop and execute strategies to expand market share globally
- Proactive assessment of future business needs
- Develop and implement regional strategies, within the matrix structure, to increase market share and drive growth of the pumps product line
- Attendance and participation at exhibitions and events in order to increase company’s recognition
- Ongoing liaison with Sales to improve market growth
- Communicate customer needs to technical team as per the company process
- Foster strong collaboration with cross-functional teams such as engineering, sales and technical
- Generate concept designs for quotation purposes and new developments as per the company process
- Relationships and networks with key stakeholders and influencers are established and maintained
- Project manage all orders as required
- Determine areas for improvement between product supply and customer need and develop a strategy to eliminate obstacles
- Identify shortfalls and improvement opportunities within the sales/product line interactions
- Product development in collaboration with Technical Manager and Technology department
- Provide feedback and insights to the global product team to inform product development and improvement
- Provide technical assistance and recommendations of equipment and processes to Sales Engineers as required
- Oversee the lifecycle of the product line within the region, from development to market launch and ongoing support
