We are seeking a dedicated Physical Science Tutor Coordinator to join our team. In this critical position, you will report directly to the Tutoring Program Manager and play a vital role in enhancing the academic success of our students. Your primary purpose will be to oversee and coordinate tutoring efforts in physics, ensuring that students receive engaging and effective learning experiences. By guiding and supporting fellow tutors, you will contribute to the overall effectiveness of our tutoring program, fostering a collaborative environment that drives student achievement.

Responsibilities
Coordinate Tutor Recruitment and Training: Assist in recruitment efforts for new tutors and facilitate training sessions to ensure they are prepared to engage effectively in the classroom.
Prepare Test Materials: Develop and provide test materials to ensure tutors are well-equipped for the sections and topics they will teach each week.
Monitor Deliverables: Oversee the tutor management system to ensure that mathematics tutors submit necessary deliverables, such as lesson plans, in a timely manner.
Assess Tutor Performance: Mark and grade tutor assessments to provide feedback and identify areas for improvement, ensuring that tutors have a strong understanding of the content they will be teaching and enhancing their instructional effectiveness.
Liaise with Tutors and Coordinators: Maintain open communication with all Physical Science tutors for grades 10-12 and collaborate with other tutor coordinators to develop timetables that prevent clashes and align with the annual teaching plan.
Liaise with Management: Work closely with the Tutoring Program Manager, providing updates on tutor performance and program effectiveness.
Teach Grade 12 Physical Science: Take responsibility for tutoring the Grade 12 mathematics class, delivering high-quality instruction and support.
Manage Class Assignments: Assign tutors to classes while considering timetable clashes, ensuring that tutors are always available and prepared for their scheduled sessions.
Evaluate Tutoring Effectiveness: Analyze tutoring results and provide insights to improve the overall quality of the mathematics tutoring program.
Support Student Success: Work collaboratively to enhance student learning outcomes and ensure a positive educational experience for all learners.
Requirements
A degree in Physics or a related field.
Must not have taken part in the YES Program before.
South African unemployed youth aged between 18 and 34.
