Job Summary
Oversee all maintenance operations to ensure the seamless functioning of hotel facilities and infrastructure
Develop, implement, and monitor preventative maintenance programs aligned with warranties, safety regulations, and best practices
Collaborate closely with Hotel Managers, Group Operational Manager, and Department Heads to address maintenance requests promptly and effectively
Plan and manage maintenance schedules for equipment, vehicles, and systems across the group
Train, mentor, and develop staff to build a skilled and efficient maintenance team
Foster a culture of safety, ensuring secure usage of all equipment
Maintain adequate stock levels of critical supplies and equipment
Source competitive quotes, establish relationships with approved service providers, and oversee procurement
Prepare and manage annual maintenance budgets, including CAPEX items and labor costs
Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, stock control, purchases, and maintenance activities
Ensure compliance with all operational and safety standards
Skills & Experience:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in facilities or maintenance management
Proven expertise in preventative maintenance planning and execution
Strong skills in planning, process management, and service delivery
Proficiency in CAPEX and operational budgeting
Competency in MS Office applications
Previous experience in hotel or property maintenance is advantageous
Qualification:
Grade 12- Matric Certificate
Tertiary qualification in Facilities/Maintenance/Engineering
