SPA THERAPIST (Confident all-rounder with focus on advanced therapies)

TRADING HOURS & SHIFTS

• Monday – Sunday
• 08:00 - 20:00 (shifts apply) | Trading hours will be reduced for winter months
• Rotate open & close + days off

REPORT TO: Spa Manager

SALARY & COMPANY BENEFITS

• R6,000 - R9,500 (based on experience & desired skills)
• Service Commission 10%
• Retail Commission 10%

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1. South African citizen OR valid working permit for employment in SA (we do not offer permits)
2. CIDESCO / ITEC / SAAHSP / CIBTAC / City & Guilds / BABTAC or internationally recognized accreditation
3. DIPLOMA Health & Skin Care / Beauty Therapy / Somatology / Cosmetology
4. BONUS - Dermal Aesthetics (not minimum requirement but nice to have!)
5. Based in or within reasonable travel distance to SOMERSET-WEST
6. Fit and healthy to perform therapies back to back
7. Beautifully groomed, manicured and looking the part of an Aesthetic/Spa Professional
8. Confident and knowledgeable on advanced skin care and ingredients
9. Confident retailer - ability to prescribe home care confidently

EXPERIENCE:

1. Therapy employment experience within a luxury day spa, high-end salon OR aesthetic clinic
2. Senior Therapist / Lead therapist experience BONUS
3. Cruise Ship OR international employment experience is favorable BONUS
4. high-end salon or aesthetic therapy experience BONUS
5. Experience working with active ingredients

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

1. Confident and skilled in all standard SPA, BEAUTY & SKIN CARE services
2. Confident performing a detailed skin analysis
3. Confidently perform advance skin care treatments, peels and resurfacing treatments - BONUS
4. Skin penetrating treatments including micro-needling / nano needling / Derma Pen / Skin Pen / CIT - BONUS
5. Light-based therapies experience (LASER / IPL / LED) - BONUS
6. Ability to effectively prescribe relevant home care to clients accordingly
7. Retail confident
8. Confidently re-book clients where applicable
9. Strong team dynamic, but able to work on your own without supervision
10. Ability to work in luxury environment with high-end clients from around the world
11. Able to commit to working hospitality hours (weekends, major holidays and shifts)
