- Perform routine maintenance on agricultural machinery and equipment to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, and carry out repairs as needed.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve overall operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential maintenance needs and address them promptly.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Education:
Degree in Mechnical, Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within the agriculture industry.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of agricultural machinery and equipment.
- Proficient in maintenance techniques and procedures.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in agricultural engineering or related fields.
- Experience working with precision farming technologies.
Working Conditions:
- Regular exposure to outdoor conditions and agricultural environments.
- Frequent travel to different agricultural sites within the region.
- Potential for working in confined spaces or at heights.
