Job Summary
Our client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager with a background in the dairy industry to oversee the maintenance and services of their factory. This role requires someone with strong technical expertise in areas such as water filtration, steam pipes, and other essential systems. While this is a hands-on role, the primary focus will be on managing the maintenance team and ensuring all factory equipment and services are operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the entire maintenance function within the factory, ensuring all equipment, machinery, and systems run smoothly.
- Supervise and coordinate a team of maintenance technicians and staff, providing guidance and leadership.
- Manage maintenance activities related to water filtration systems, steam pipes, and other critical factory systems.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and repair plans to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, including cost control and procurement of spare parts.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless factory operations.
- Analyse and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to ensure minimal disruption to production.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed to the highest standard and in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a maintenance management role, specifically in the dairy industry or a related manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of water filtration, steam pipes, and other factory utilities.
- Hands-on mechanical and technical expertise.
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in maintenance or engineering will be advantageous.
