Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Storeman to join our team. This role involves ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining accurate stock records and compliance with company standards. The successful candidate will oversee stock control, manage warehouse operations, and ensure the yard and warehouse are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock Control: Conduct weekly and monthly stock takes, resolve stock-related queries, and ensure accurate documentation for all goods received and dispatched.
- Operations: Oversee product loading, stacking, and storage. Ensure all items are safely stored and labeled appropriately.
- Quality Assurance: Verify all products meet quality standards before dispatch and address discrepancies promptly.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and yard, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric certificate.
- Valid forklift license.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in store management.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
Key Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Sage Evolution, customer service, and relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in basic accounting and software applications.
