Job Summary
Excellent opportunity for an adept Finance Assistant at a fast-growing medical import and distribution business for a candidate that has strong Excel skills and an eye for detail. Their offices are situated in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.
The ideal candidate should preferably have 3 years of finance administration and/or bookkeeping experience and a degree or certificate in finance or bookkeeping will be an advantage (but not required). Candidates qualified by experience and in a similar role will also be considered. Proficiency in Excel and working with numbers is required, and the candidate must be detail-oriented. Previous imports, creditors, stock experience will be beneficial.
The role will predominantly entail finance administration and bookkeeping with additional administrative duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Finance
- Reconciling Creditors where necessary and following-up on Supplier queries and differences.
- Filing of Proof of payments to the Remittance advices.
- Updating of credit card slips spreadsheet and getting sign-off.
- Scanning of receipts and slips.
Petty Cash
- Capturing expenses and receipts on Excel.
- Distribution of money when needed.
- Responsible and ownership of the Petty cash box.
- Responsible and ownership of the company debit card.
Exports
- Checking exchange rates and booking exchange rate.
- Sending documents to foreign exchange supplier (Kuda).
- Checking documents (deal receipts that the following is correct - the exchange rate is correct, the value of the booking is correct).
- Sending documents supporting documents for payment.
- Sending POP to Foreign Exchange supplier (Kuda).
- Sending payment advice to supplier.
Inventory
- Checking stock-levels on a daily basis and ensuring that intercompany journals and invoices are done to reflect correct stock-levels.
- Daily, weekly and monthly stock reports to management.
- Assistance in stores when required.
- Stock tracking on customer portals.
PA Functions
- General PA Functions.
- Seta communications, registrations, enquiries into new opportunities.
- SAHPRA applications, renewals and licenses.
- Birthdays & Anniversaries & Special occasions.
- Shopping lists.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified by experience.
- Diploma or certificate in accounting, bookkeeping or finance related field is a plus.
- 1+ years finance administration experience.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Accurate and attention to detail.
- Excellent reconciliation skills.
- Working knowledge Sage and Pastel a positive.
Remuneration:
- R150,000 to R180,000 per annum ctc.
