Job Summary
Position Overview:
Our client, an established accounting firm based in Paarl, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Accountant. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in an accounting practice, ensuring they are well-versed in managing multiple clients across various industries. This role is perfect for an individual looking to join a professional yet supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping: Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and managing ledgers.
- Payroll: Submission and Preparation of Payroll
- Tax Compliance: Handle VAT, PAYE, income tax returns, and liaise with SARS on behalf of clients.
- Personal Tax. Personal Tax Submissions .
- Client Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing financial guidance and ensuring queries are resolved efficiently.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience within a practice environment.
- Qualifications: A B.Com Accounting degree or equivalent is essential.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Xero, E-Filing) and Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A client-centric approach to service delivery.
