Description:

PBT Group is looking for a skilled Tester with expertise in data testing and SQL development to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in writing SQL queries for testing purposes and be familiar with Power BI. Any exposure to Ab Initio environments will be advantageous. This role requires a hands-on professional who can ensure the accuracy and quality of data while collaborating with development and business teams.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Perform data validation and testing to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Write and execute SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
• Conduct end-to-end data testing across multiple sources and systems.
• Analyse data issues and work with data engineers to resolve discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scripts for data validation.
• Work with Power BI to test and validate reports and dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with data quality standards and best practices.
• Provide documentation and support for testing activities.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Data Testing – Strong experience in validating large datasets and ensuring data accuracy.
• SQL Development – Ability to write and optimise SQL queries for data verification and troubleshooting.
• Power BI – Experience testing reports and dashboards to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Ab Initio Environment – Any exposure or knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Experience in ETL testing, data warehousing, and BI environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Additional Criteria:

Qualifications/Certification:

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Relevant SQL, Power BI, or data testing certifications (advantageous).
