Job Summary
Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled and experienced Client Manager on behalf of our client, a reputable accounting firm located in Ceres, Western Cape. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional with a strong background in accounting and client management, looking to take on a role with significant responsibility. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise in financial statement preparation and tax compliance, along with excellent communication and leadership skills to manage client relationships and support a team of SAIPA trainees. Responsibilities
- Financial Statements & Tax Calculations: Prepare and review annual financial statements and income tax calculations, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Tax Compliance: Oversee and implement tax returns, PAYE submissions, and compensation commissioner returns.
- Monthly Financial Management: Prepare and review monthly cash flow statements, credit and debit reports, and financial management statements.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and correspondence with the South African Revenue Service (SARS).
- Team Leadership & Training: Manage, train, and support a team of SAIPA trainees, regularly reviewing their work and guiding their professional development.
- Budget & Time Management: Assess team efficiency and time management in alignment with financial budgets to maintain project timelines.
Requirements
- SAIPA-Accredited Degree and Completed SAIPA or SAICA Certification with active licensure.
- 3–5 Years of Experience in Accounting and Client Management within an accounting firm.
- Strong Knowledge of FRS for SMEs to ensure accurate financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- In-depth Understanding of South African Tax Regulations and statutory requirements (e.g., PAYE, SARS compliance).
- Leadership and Mentorship Abilities for managing and developing a team of SAIPA trainees.
- Excellent Client Relationship and Communication Skills to handle inquiries and maintain client trust.
- Strong Time and Budget Management Skills to oversee multiple accounts and align work with financial budgets.
