Job Summary
Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced Deal Originator on behalf of a leading insurance company. Responsibilities
- Actively build and maintain a strong pipeline of high-quality projects and transactions.
- Represent the company at public events, including interviews, conferences, and industry networking opportunities.
- Guide cross-functional project teams from deal inception through to completion, managing client interactions throughout the process.
- Research and identify promising industry or sector prospects to develop a robust list of potential clients.
- Establish and sustain relationships with clients, private sector partners, banks, multilateral organizations, and government stakeholders.
- Evaluate deal structures to gauge risk levels and ensure alignment with the company’s insurance coverage policies.
- Partner with underwriting and other internal teams to develop tailored solutions for client needs.
- Perform market analysis to identify potential business opportunities that align with the company’s products and eligibility criteria.
- Serve as an internal advocate for clients, contributing to a client-focused culture.
- Conduct initial assessments of transactions, advising clients on risk factors and appropriate coverage solutions.
- Lead initiatives to broaden the company’s market reach across diverse regions and sectors.
- Prepare detailed presentations and reports for the management team and Board, outlining regional strategies and deal pipeline insights.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as delegated by the Head of Business Development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Economics, Finance, Accounting, Banking, Law, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in transactional roles, including deal origination, project financing, corporate finance, political risk underwriting, or risk management.
- Solid grasp of international business practices, financial structuring, and contractual standards.
- Skilled in problem-solving, able to identify issues and propose actionable solutions.
- Strong analytical skills in financial, credit, and risk management, combined with sound business judgment.
- Effective in managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Ability to build and maintain productive relationships across cultural and organizational boundaries.
- Comfortable negotiating and assessing complex transaction structures.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic about engaging in emerging markets.
- Demonstrated ability in business development and relationship management, with a strong focus on meeting client needs.
- Highly detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and open to travel.
- Proficiency in identifying viable business opportunities aligned with company objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with additional language skills (such as French or Portuguese) considered advantageous.
