Job Summary
PBT Group is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to design, develop, and optimise business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong data visualisation skills, experience working with large datasets, and a deep understanding of Power BI, DAX, and SQL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver insights.
- Develop data models, optimise DAX queries, and implement best practices for performance.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security within Power BI reports.
- Connect to multiple data sources, including SQL Server, Azure, APIs, and Excel.
- Implement row-level security (RLS) and governance controls.
- Troubleshoot performance issues and improve query execution.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and Analysts to ensure a seamless data flow.
- Stay up to date with Power BI advancements and recommend improvements.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Power BI Developer or similar role.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong proficiency in Power BI (reports, dashboards, datasets).
- Expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
- Strong SQL skills (T-SQL, data extraction, transformations).
- Experience in ETL processes and data modelling.
- Ability to integrate Power BI with Azure, APIs, and cloud-based data sources.
- Experience with Power Automate & Power Apps is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics is a plus.
