Job Summary
Qualification- Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Accounting / related field
- Master's Degree preferred
- SAIPA, SAICA, or other relevant professional certification
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Financial Management role, with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting.
- Proven track record of managing a financial team with varying personalities.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial markets, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in risk management and financial instruments.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software (SAGE) and Excel.
- Manage the finance department consisting of 5 members.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support growth and profitability, driving the company's financial success.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.
- Create and monitor forecasts
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
- Analyse financial data and provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
- Oversee the company's cash flow, ensuring proper allocation and investment of funds.
- Manage forex including forward cover contracts.
- Manage investments to maximize return and control risk.
- Manage risk through insurance, hedging and other financial instruments, ensuring the company's financial stability.
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with overall business objectives and drive growth.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial records, transactions and documentation.
- Oversee Payroll processes, checks and approval.
- Manage VAT and TAX submission and reporting.
- Monthly closures and EXCO reports.
- Input to sister companies.
- Audit Management and control.
- Consolidated financials.
- Oversee ad hoc financial functions.
- Reporting to the Managing Director.
