DATA ANAYST – Century City, Cape Town

R50 000 - R60 000 Per Annum Negotiable

Global Financial Services concern is seeking a highly motivated and driven Data Analyst who will play a crucial role in interpreting the Companies data to provide actionable insights to the business while will work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.

One would describe you as having excellent analytical and problem–solving abilities together with good communication skills across a range of levels in the business

You have a high degree of data literacy and accuracy together with good time management skills.

Main Purpose of the role

Be responsible for processing, analyzing, and collecting data from various sources. You would be relied on to use statistical tools to identify, analyse, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the compilation and distribution of business reports to relevant stakeholders
• Prime (Client Relationship Management System) business champion – supporting projects, ad hoc tasks, and checking (including but not limited to servicing)
• Create reports and presentations to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to the team and management
• Translate user requirements into highly specified reporting
• Identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability
• Draw up proposals for modified or replacement reporting and present them to relevant parties
• Oversee the implementation of the new system(s) / enhancements
• Continuously ensure that tasks and projects are completed within deadlines and that any rework is limited
• Monitor and improve the efficiency of business processes, as well as collect and interpret data about existing processes
• Continuously keep up to date with technical as well as industry sector developments and investigate alternative business solutions
• Reduce manual tasks and direct costs as well as provide efficiencies through use of technology
• Interpret business processes into user interaction flows and screen layouts
• Provide training to users on the new system(s) / enhancements

Qualification, Skills and Experience required:

• Senior Certificate with relevant IT or related Diploma/Degree
• 3-5 Years relevant data analyst experience gained ideally within the financial services sector
• Basic coding experience
• Working experience on Python or related programming languages
