Are you a strategic leader with a passion for driving commercial banking success while fostering sector transformation? Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a dynamic Provincial Head to spearhead business growth, client relationship management, and financial sustainability in the Free State region.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead a high-performing team to grow and manage a commercial banking portfolio, ensuring profitability and sustainability.
- Drive sector transformation and development, aligning strategies with industry needs and emerging market opportunities.
- Foster strong stakeholder relationships with key provincial and local government structures, industry leaders, and business partners.
- Oversee loan origination, credit assessments, and portfolio management to ensure a balanced and profitable lending book.
- Champion operational excellence, governance, and risk management to uphold compliance and strategic objectives.
- Lead marketing and brand-building efforts, enhancing the institution’s presence and impact in the province.
What We’re Looking For:
- A BCom, Business Science, or equivalent qualification in Banking & Financial Services.
- 5–8 years of experience in Development Finance or Commercial Banking, with expertise in credit/lending, financial modeling, and due diligence.
- 2–3 years in a senior leadership role, such as Branch Manager or Sales Manager, with strong operations, service, and stakeholder management experience.
- Proven ability to develop and execute business strategies that drive growth, transformation, and financial sustainability.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office, SAP, accounting principles, and credit risk assessment.
