Vedanta is a $30bn revenue and $10bn in profit organization and plans to invest $20bn in the next 4–5 years into brownfield and greenfield capacities across Oil & Gas, renewable energy, display glass, semiconductors, mining, and smelting.
Analyse work orders, process them in the system, maintain a tracking system, and lead daily update meetings.
Conduct analysis on spare parts consumption patterns, follow up with teams regarding usage, maintain a refurbishment and warranty tracker, and conduct regular site and store inspections for materials.
Handle stock codification, update Bill of Materials (BOM), oversee new equipment creation, and maintain/update PM schedules in SAP.
Coordinate with commercial teams and suppliers to monitor purchase orders and delivery timelines, communicating relevant information to the team.
Record and analyse breakdowns in a spreadsheet as they occur to identify trends and develop prevention strategies for recurring issues.
Trade Diploma (Fitter and Turner, Electrical, Boiler Making, or C&I Mechanic).
5 years of experience in a similar position and work environment, 2 years on a supervisory level. Experience at a water processing plant is advantageous.
Good operational or technical knowledge.
High proficiency in SAP MM and PM modules and MS Office.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
A valid Code B/EB driver’s license.
Must be able to obtain a medical certificate of fitness.
