Job Summary
To provide civil/structural engineering services to iX engineers and its clients, including industrial, commercial, steel and reinforced concrete structures, associated civil engineering elements, tendering and construction monitoring duties, while supporting the broader iX engineers’ business, values, and vision.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY.
Key Activities
- Responsible for design of civil-structural infrastructure.
- Produce and deliver associated reports and engineering drawings.
- Manage project phases, deliverable timelines, and project performance.
- Supervise and to co-ordinate the activities of the various resources involved in design and production.
- Actively involved in contract administration and client liaison.

EDUCATION, LANGUAGE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Hold a BSc. Eng / B.Eng. degree/ B Tech Eng (If you have a post-graduate qualification in structural engineering it will be to your advantage)
- Professionally registered with ECSA (Pr Eng)
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Have at least 10 years technical and practical experience in the field of civil/structural engineering (Experience in water retaining and renewable energy structural design will be to your advantage).
- Experience in wind turbine will be added as an advantage.
- Have working knowledge of 3D CAD/Modelling software (Working knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk Revit will be to your advantage).
- A well-developed understanding of all the related engineering disciplines involved in the design of public, private and industrial infrastructure projects.
- Structural design in Finite Element Analysis Software (Dlubal, Stand, Nastran, Diana etc.) and application of fatigue design to structures.
- Site experience as Assistant Resident Engineer as minimum is required.
