Job Summary
Our client based in Pietermaritzburg is looking for a dynamic Technician to join their team.
Duties
- Hands on ability to articulate basic mechanical systems
- Basic pneumatic experience
- Experience with repair/maintenance packaging or food processing equipment would be advantageous - specifically with form fill and seal equipment
- Innovative thinker and problem solver
- Ability to read, understand and diagnose faults via PLC code
- Ability to write simple code would be advantageous (Allan Bradley, delta etc)
- VSD/VFD and servo experience would be advantageous
- Ability to read electrical drawings necessity
- Candidate must be able to communicate proficiently as well as be able to conduct written reports
- Ability to use hand tools properly is a must, as well as follow safety guidelines and rules
- Punctuality and strict time management is a necessity
- Ability to work without supervision is a necessity, and able follow instructions strictly
Requirements:
- Sober habits
- Driver’s license
- Btech in Electrical engineering
- Trade test electrical light current preferably/ national diploma in engineering (electrical)
