Job Summary
We are looking for A vertical boring mill (VBM), also known as a vertical turning lathe (VTL), is a machine tool that rotates a work piece on a vertical axis while the cutting tool remains stationary. The VBM is primarily used for large, heavy workpieces that require precise machining.
1. Table Diameter
- Range: Typically ranges from 36 inches (914 mm) to over 200 inches (5,080 mm), depending on the model and manufacturer.
2. Maximum Swing
- Range: The maximum swing (diameter of the largest workpiece that can be machined) can range from 48 inches (1,219 mm) to over 240 inches (6,096 mm).
3. Vertical Travel (Ram Travel)
- Range: Typically ranges from 30 inches (762 mm) to 120 inches (3,048 mm), depending on the size and capacity of the machine.
4. Spindle Speed
