Vedanta is a $30bn revenue and $10bn in profit organization with plans to invest $20bn over the next 4–5 years into the expansion of brownfield and greenfield capacities in Oil & Gas, renewable energy, display glass, semiconductors, mining, and smelting.
Perform inspections.
Conduct maintenance, service, and repairs on electrical substations, motors, ore transfer, and dewatering equipment.
Diagnose and fault-find on electrical substations, motors, ore transfer, and dewatering equipment.
Participate in SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) initiatives.
Complete job cards and conduct spares planning.
Conduct diagnostic repairs and maintain electrical equipment.
Minimum qualification of Grade 12.
N2 Certificate and recognized Trade Certificate.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a qualified electrician.
Experience in heavy industrial, mining, and underground environments will be advantageous.
Medium Voltage Training will be advantageous.
Must demonstrate the ability to perform constructive work according to the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Must be able to work overtime and standby duties when required.
A valid code B/C1 driver’s license (must be able to obtain a mine vehicle license).
Must be able to obtain a medical certificate of fitness.
Remuneration will be according to qualifications and experience and will include competitive conditions of employment.
