Maintenance Engineer at a Sorting and Dismantling Installation
As a Maintenance Engineer with our client, you will:
- Optimize processes and proactively identify, analyze, and resolve disruptions for lasting improvements.
- Register performance data and provide suggestions for system enhancements.
- Improve inspection and maintenance plans to keep our installations in top shape.
- Ensure maintenance tasks are performed safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to ensure reliability and maximize operational efficiency.
Additionally, you’ll manage spare parts, create clear manuals and instructions for operators and technicians, and use your expertise in drafting Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs). By analyzing data, you’ll monitor and improve processes, all while prioritizing safety and environmental standards.
As part of your responsibilities, you’ll also guide external technicians and coordinate support services.
What We Seek
You bring a minimum of 3 years of experience in a production or processing environment in a similar role. With your comprehensive knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, and risk analysis, you’ll help enhance the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and optimization of advanced installations.
To excel in this role, you possess:
- A completed bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Technology, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Expertise in maintenance systems and methodologies.
- Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of technical systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a working knowledge of English and Afrikaans.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach, flexibility in working hours and location, and the ability to collaborate effectively.
