Job Summary
This key role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the OHS Act as the GMR 2.1 appointee. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the safety and efficiency of the manufacturing facility.
Key responsibilities will include managing the GMR 2.7a appointees to ensure adherence to OHSA, ensuring machinery compliance with relevant safety standards, and maintaining statutory machinery records. Additionally, you will manage site-specific projects, contribute to planned and preventative maintenance systems, and play an active role in machinery procurement, design, and upgrades to enhance operational efficiency.
To be considered for this role, candidates should hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, with relevant experience in the field. A Certified Engineer (GCC) qualification is needed. A minimum of 2-4 years' experience in an engineering role, with strong planning and reporting skills, is essential. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, possess excellent communication skills, be a team player, and have the ability to work independently.
