Job Summary

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Warehouse Management
- Tertiary Qualification and/or Bachelor’s Degree preferred

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process Management - Storage
- Ensure operational throughput meets SLA for box storage.
- Evaluate workflows to improve processes.
- Ensure fast, effective document retrieval.
- Ensure accurate, timely file and box location.
- Optimize resources for current workloads.
Process Management - Distribution
- Maintain and optimize fleet vehicles and recommend additions or replacements.
- Monitor vehicle compliance with corporate identity guidelines.
- Manage efficient collection and delivery of clients' documents.
- Enforce corporate dress code.
Process Management - Vault
- Fast and effective collection and delivery of business backups.
- Accurate capture of client information onto the system.
- Retrieve and deliver computer media to clients on time.
- Maximize vehicle capacity utilization through optimized routing.
- Fulfil ad hoc client requests effectively.
- Manage and maintain Vault operational processes.
- Report operational statistics and client-related exceptions to the General Manager.
- Resolve all client complaints and issues promptly.
Process Management - General
- Reports on operational productivity to the General Manager on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Ensures compliance with the OSH Act and housekeeping guidelines in supervised areas.
People Management
- Ensures that staff is trained, and skilled and that their expertise is optimally applied.
- Ensures that the working environment contributes to improving staff morale and increasing productivity.
Cost Management
- Provides input into the compilation of the regional budget.
- Optimizes resources to control and reduce costs.
- Inspects facility and equipment to determine the need and extent of service, equipment required and type and number of operational staff required.
- Responsible for managing stock and stock controls
- Control and maintain facilities i.e. equipment, grounds, safety and security checks and procedures and policies.
- Responsible for the planning of the day-to-day operations.
- Coordinating with other departments, such as Finance and HR, to ensure effective communication and alignment of goals.
- Support operational objectives, KPI's and challenges.
- Ensure compliance and service fulfilment by the contractors on-site.
